Dans son \u00e9tymologie premi\u00e8re, le textile est indissociable du texte : tous deux trouvent racine dans le verbe \u00a0<em>texere<\/em>\u00a0: \u00a0\u00ab composer\u00bb, \u00ab entrelacer \u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0tramer\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0raconter\u00a0\u00bb. \u00a0Ainsi, Sarah H\u00f4 propose des formes narratives o\u00f9 chaque pi\u00e8ce propose une lecture crois\u00e9e\u00a0: la sienne et celle du spectateur. Sur les surfaces tiss\u00e9es se d\u00e9posent nos regards et s\u2019ouvrent nos imaginaires\u00a0: Les\u00a0<em>Plateformes<\/em>,\u00a0le tapis sonore\u00a0<em>Colporteur,\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0o\u00f9 encore\u00a0<em>Prise de terre<\/em>\u00a0sont autant d\u2019espaces de projection, d\u2019interpr\u00e9tations et de perceptions du monde, communes et singuli\u00e8res \u00e0 la fois. Glaner, r\u00e9colter, r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer et croiser les fibres engage une appr\u00e9hension mat\u00e9rielle et sensible du monde. \u00a0Ici, le sens se construit autant par l\u2019agencement que par ce geste universel, ancestral et fondateur \u2013 celui d\u2019entrecroiser quatre brindilles aux abords d\u2019un chemin de promenade \u2013 \u00a0inscrivant ainsi son travail dans un lien \u00e9troit avec les lieux habit\u00e9s, leurs histoires, leurs m\u00e9moires et leurs ressources.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u2022<\/strong>\u00a0<em>Sarah H\u00f4 is an artist based in Montolieu, in the Montagne Noire region. A 2015 graduate of the fine art tapestry workshops at ESAA Duperr\u00e9, she uses textiles as a language. Etymologically, textiles are inseparable from text; both share roots in the verb\u00a0<em>texere<\/em>\u2014meaning to compose, intertwine, weave, or tell a story. Sarah H\u00f4 thus creates narrative forms in which each piece invites a dual reading: her own and that of the viewer. Our gazes rest upon these woven surfaces, and our imaginations take flight: works such as\u00a0<em>Les Plateformes<\/em>, the sound-based\u00a0<em>Colporteur<\/em>\u00a0rug, and\u00a0<em>Prise de terre<\/em>\u00a0serve as spaces for projection, interpretation, and perception of the world\u2014spaces that are at once shared and unique. The acts of gleaning, harvesting, reclaiming, and interweaving fibers foster a tangible, sensory engagement with the world.
